Is this MAPI, SMTP, POP, IMAP?
Can you resolve the mail server name properly?

e-mail server that I have on the internet web access and everything else
seems to be fine, internet access is not inturrupted, only Outlooks ability
to connect to my mail server.

Any entries in the event logs?
What other problems do you see with web access, etc.?
Have you tried accessing the Internet from the ISA when this occurs?

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2000 on my Windows 2000 professional
workstation and am accessing the internet via an ISA server. When I first
boot my computer Outlook can pull messages from my mail server just fine
but after an hour so Outlook can no longer connect to my mail server. I
reboot my computer and everything is fine again for an hour then the same
thing happens all over again. Previously I was using Microsoft Proxy 2.0
and had no trouble, this problem started occuring immediately after
switching to ISA. Any ideas?
