Jerry,

OWA is running fine internally. It looks like I'll try what Mark suggested
by rebuiding the rule from scratch. Anyway, the ISA Server 2004 is standard
edition and not the Enterprise version. One thing I noticed was that Http
SSL service was disabled after the installation of SP2 for ISA 2004 and the
reboot of the ISA server. I have enabled it and set it to Automatic.

Tony,

Is OWA running? I still can't connect to port 443, which means that your
ISA server is not listening on the interface that is tied to the IP address
that email.vegastek.net rides on. OWA IS on a different box in your
network, correct? Can you connect to it internally?

You might also want to do what Mark suggested and rebuild the rule.

Are you running Enterprise Edition? If you are, do you have an ISA Server
Array? If an Array, are you using ISA-integrated NLB?

The simple fact of the matter is that from the outside world it looks like
email.vegastek.net is not listening on port 443.

Cordially yours,

A similar thing happened to me after the SP2 update, I had to delete the
publishing rule and rebuild it.

Did you try netstat to see if the ISA server is listening?

What could it possible be? I can VPN through this ISA firewall and access
anything on the LAN. OWA is the one giving me a headache now.

Connection timeout.

Whatever is in front of the ISA firewall is broken.

Right before the installation of SP2, OWA connections from the outside world
was working fine. The DNS is surely setup correctly and everything has been
working fine just before this installation. The fqdn of my OWA site is:

https://email.vegastek.net/exchange

Well, the requests cannot be reaching your ISA Server then.

Is your DNS setup correctly with your ISP??

What is the fqdn of your owa site?

What errors do you see in the ISA firewall's log files regarding these
connections?

OWA has not been working after the installation of ISA Server 2004 SP2.
Users can connect to OWA within the internal LAN but not when trying to
connect from the outside world. I have checked out the logs but I don't see
anything indicating problem with OWA. When users try to connect from the
outside world, they get the error "cannot find server or DNS Error". Anyone
out there experienced this problem before? Please, share with me if you have
and how you were able to resolve this problem. Thanks.

Tony
