Ok..this is drivin me up the frikkin wall here :/ Ive followed the instructions from the nettime.zip doc...imported the reg settings provided...created the allow packet filter for UDP 123...and the darn thing STILL will not synch with any time server I choose. Ive tried tick/tock/blah blah blah/.usno.navy.mil along with at least a dozen other public time servers as my source..and every time I try net time /set it returns the message "Could not locate a time server" I have verified it resolves the DNS names properly..and ive even tried putting in the IP address alone instead...same result. When running w32time -v -once it goes through a variety of nifty looking tests but always gives the following: " W32Time: BEGIN:NTPTry -- try W32Time: BEGIN:ComputeInterval W32Time: END Line 2457 W32Time: Sending to server 48 bytes... W32Time: NTP: didn't receive datagram W32Time: Logging event 0x8000000B. 15 min until this event is allowe d again. W32Time: 0x8000000B reported to System Log in Event Viewer W32Time: END Line 1929 W32Time: Time source failed to produce usable timestamp. W32Time: BEGIN:NTPTry -- fail W32Time: END Line 1661 W32Time: Time Out occured in sockets W32Time: BEGIN:NTPTry -- try W32Time: BEGIN:ComputeInterval W32Time: END Line 2457 W32Time: Sending to server 48 bytes... W32Time: Recv'ed from server 48 Bytes... W32Time: END Line 1863 W32Time: BEGIN:NTPTry -- delay" Any ideas? :)
