Hi Shawn,
I didn't have to touch the default ip packet filter rules or add any
new one to make it work.

I did it, but I don't have the configuration in front of me....
If I remember right you have to create packetfilters that block incoming
netbios (TCP/UDP ports 137, 138, 139). Port 139 may be sufficient, it
was late when I did it and I know I've got some overkill in the config.
But it works and nobody's gripin :-)

                Hi David,

Pretty interesting! I've got to check this out, since
just about all my implementations are stand-alones or stand-alones using
IP clustering,

                Thanks!
                Tom

                        Hi Everyone,

I have setup ISA's message screener sucessfully
on a stand-alone ISA Server 2000 but reading the section of artical
Q315132 made it very interesting on how do you complete the ISA's MS
installation without performing the SMTPCred.exe tool? Do they imply if
you do have an ISA Array configuration just skip this section and
continue or is this an incomplete document to support both Stand-alone
and Array configurations? Any help would be appriciated! Thanks
everyone,

                        Dave

How to Use the SMTPCred.exe Tool to Configure
Permissions on the IIS 5.0-Based Server

NOTE: Only use the SMTPCred.exe tool if the ISA
Server is installed as a Stand-Alone ISA Server. If the ISA Server is
installed as a member of an Array, do not use the SMTPCred.exe tool.
When ISA Server is installed in an Array, ISA Server retrieves the
settings from Active Directory.
