I'm rewriting a SQL scanner script I wrote (100 yrs ago, it seems) to add to
ISAInfo; from that, I can provide a baseline.

SQLDMO is pretty sweet; lemmetellya!

Yeah, I've started to dig into the documentation on the MSDE stuff. It
seems to me that the version of the *.dlls are the same. What special
Tweaking have the done on the MSDE stuff?

Thank you,
Joseph

As Jim kindly advised before, MSDE within ISA2K4 box is
tweaked one i.e.: only memory-mapped connnection, so for
keeping it in most safty conditions.
yes, the default instance of ISA2k4 is mssql$msfw but
you can't attache a db into it unless you upgrade that
instance without worring of security!

Hi Jim,

How come the T-SQL command sp_attach_db with appropriate stuff won't
allow
attachment to the db?
I've been working on some utilities to extract the information I need
and I'm
unable to attach.
What I can do is shut down the services on my ISA box and then copy the
Db's
and look
At them one at a time. And what is the default SQLDB name(instance)
MSSQL$MSFW?

Thank you,

Joseph
