Lost "Use a proxy server" Setting.

I am having a problem with WindowsNT 4.0 SP6a clients losing the "Use a
proxy server" setting. The server address and port stays in the system but
the system just seems to rmove the setting so my users cannot surf the web
until either they or a tech comes around and places the check mark in the
box.
Anyone have any thoughts on this one?
