Isa server dropping VPN connection

I have 2 sites, each with 1 ISA server. The VPN connection is (should be)
persistent, but the connection is lost after some time (12 hours - 4
days).
The connection appears to be up in ISA management, but no traffic is
coming through. When the connection is stopped, the VPN tunnel can connect
again.
Any ideas why the VPN stops? Or how to automatic restart the VPN, when it
fails?
