Internet Access

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am new to ISA server and am having great
difficulties in configuring it to allow access to the internet for my
firewall clients, but also blocking incoming requests as appropriate as to
make my network secure.
I appear to be able to get the network secure in regard to external
access, but in doing so, I am blocking any outgoing requests.
If someone has a tutorial or can offer some advice I would be
appreciative. I am only wanting to allow MSN Messenger, mIRC, ICQ, and
Real Player. All other internet access needs to be restricted.
