The error is generated on the client, but the error message itself begins
with "server error: . . ."

Is the error generated on the server or the client?

I am new to ISA and don't have a mentor, so I would appreciate help with
what is probably an elementary question. When I try to access our
Internet web page (which is on the ISA server) from my workstation with
Front Page 2000, I get the following error message: "Server error: Error
2 opening registry key "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server
Extensions\Ports\Port 80"." FPSE 2002 is installed on the server. Is
this problem related to ISA? If so, how do I fix it? Thank you.
