Hi Joseph,

Just downloaded that one and will try soon. So far I have tried

1. Oracle 9.0.2 driver from the Oracle Client CD.
2. Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle.

Neither one works from ISA server, however access can read & write to
Oracle through both drivers.

If I set ODBC logging to Access I get logs created from ISA
If I set ODBC to SQL Server I also get logs created from ISA
If I set ODBC to access which links via ODBC to Oracle then nothing is
produced, even though access CAN write to Oracle.

We are currently logging to SQL Server, but most of our expertise (to
say nothing of all the other log databases) are stored in oracle so we
really want to log to oracle.

Currently considering using a trigger in SQL server to forward the rows
to Oracle. Hell of a sledgehammer to crack a Nut.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,
Have you loaded the right ODBC driver for ORACLE windows?
http://otn.oracle.com/software/tech/windows/odbc/index.html
A lot of times one driver won't work with sql, access etc.

I would create all the columns, in oracle to be of mixed case with
at least have them all variable length fields and allow nulls for each
field. Because of the differences in date and time fields try and make
those fields alpha/numeric as well.

HTH,
Joseph

Hello All,

Hope somebody can help here.

We have an ISA server, configured to log to file. We would like to
configure it to log to Oracle. (Oracle 9.2.0.4). I have meticulously
followed your tutorial and while ISA server starts up and runs, we get
nothing written to Oracle.

The only service configured is WebProxyLog.

ISA server is running on Windows 2003 server.

Oracle 9.2.0.4 is running on Windows XP (SP1)

ODBC works I can access my Access database and manually add records -
these records then appear in Oracle.

I restart Web Proxy Service and it starts successfully, however nothing
ever gets written to Oracle.

I have dropped Oracle table and re-created to obtain mixed case column
names.

I hope that you can help.

Best Regards

Steve Fenwick
