Hi Sean, I tried both the templates and setting up manually. I actually prefer the manual setup. It gave me more control over the setup and allowed me to setup rule by rule, Networks, nat versus routes and the cool part I was able to monitor the settings By running the real time logging! Did you know that the templates are actually Saved as xml files? Well, I'm going to copy a couple of them after I have things setup and created so That I'll have my own templates that mirror my manual setup. I thought that was a good way to help with recovery Should the need arise. Also, as a best practice after you install ISA without templates save all the system policy and Default rules, this creates a backup of items that can be quickly restored before you begin the Process of creating rules and such. I tried this a couple of weeks ago. When applying the single NIC template ISA 2004 just sat there - no hang, no nothing. So I ended up configuring the ISA manually. Has anyone come across issue this when applying templates before? - Seán Carr ___________________________________________________________ ALL-NEW Yahoo!
