Hi Travis,
Here's a tip:
You disable IMAP socket pooling the same way you disable SMTP and NNTP
service socket pooling. I don't recall if its IMAPSVC or IMAP4SVC. Try both and
see what happens.

Thank you for your response!!!
I did a little research on the socket pooling and found that that is likely
my problem. Ill be sure to give it a try and ill definitely be sure to buy
your second book as well!!!

IIS 5.0 Socket Pooling has caused a great deal pain for budding ISA Server
administrators.
So true...
Thank you again!!! :-)

Hi Travis,
You may need to disable socket pooling for IMAP. Did you get ISA Server
and Beyond yet? :-)

Hi,
I have been trying for a few months now to set up IMAP for external
use. There is definately no problem using IMAP internally...I tried that.
I am using a SBS 2000 system. 2 Nics, Router, Exchange, ISA.
The Router is a Linksys 8 port router/switch. I have enabled Port
Fowarding for ports 25 and 143 to my external NIC.
On ISA I have made a Protocol rule for IMAP to allow traffic in. I have
also made an IP Packet filter for it as well.
When I try to connect, I always get a connection to server failed.
I know this is vague, but i will answer any questions that would be
needed.
Any ideas why I cant get connected remotely?
-Travis
