RE: ID Serve Tells All, How to Fake it Out?switch from webserver publishing
to server publishing. define your external webserver ip and where in your
internal network those should go and set a port 80 protocol rule for inbound
only.

now your logs will have all remote info stored in the W3svc logs instead of
the gateway IP.

Subject: [isalist] IIS Logs & Webtrends

I have Webtrends log analyser, and an IIS box behind my ISA machine. I have
server publishing enabled, but because the ISA server picks up requests for
the IIS box - every external request in the IIS logs comes from the ISA
machine's internal interface (192.168.0.1).

This is not good as Webtrends reports wont then represent actual usage of
the hosted sites. I have tried toggling the host header forwarding, but with
no change.

Does anyone know how to make the IIS logs record the actual IP of the people
that visit my sites? Webtrends (my version at least) cant read ISA web logs.
