Hey William,

We have a very busy ISA server that logs to an sql database on another
server. We have logged on that server before and it did not seem to make
much of a difference. But we moved the database to another server because
it is a better way to go. We log every thing a student does on the internet
and we have about 3000 machines on our WAN. From 8:30 to 3:30 there is
about 300 or more students using the internet.
What you could do is perform the logging on an old internal NT4 box that
everyone has hanging around. It depends on how much data you log, but at
one time we logged to an Access database. But, with Access you can only log
two gigs, or is it four? What we did is have the database recreate itself
when it got full.

Shane
