open a cmd window on the client
cd \program files\microsoft firewall client
chkwsp32 /f
What does it tell you?

I did an "Update Now" and got the following message. FYI, rebooted my machine
numerous times.
Connection to the server is OK, verified via Ping and able to browse via IE
thru ISA
-----------
Server suddenly disconnected
Possible cause:
The client version may not be supported version of client software

Any ideas ?
