An intern is someone that you have working for free to "learn the trade". It was a joke chosen to illustrate that this is a manual task, since there is no automation mechanism in Proxy 2 as there is for ISA. Thus, it's impossible to directly automate the task of migrating your policy elements from one product to the other. I don't have a P2 machine to play with this... If you use the "export" mechanism in P2 to save the configuration to a file and send it to me, I might be able to whack out a script to translate it. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ <http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/> http://isatools.org <http://isatools.org/> Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: John Houser [mailto:JohnH@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2005 09:33 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Exporting blocked address list http://www.ISAserver.org I am not sure you have the right person. I do not know an intern or what you are talking about. I simply posted this question: "We have an ISA Server 2004 and would like to import the blocked address from our Proxy Server 2.0. Is there a process to export it from Proxy Server 2.0 to ISA Server 2004?" Does anyone know how this can be done? ________________________________ From: Jim Harrison [mailto:Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 6:18 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Exporting blocked address list http://www.ISAserver.org Nah; my favorite "old" comment was one I received just before I retired from the Navy: "He's so old that when he joined the Navy, the Dead Sea was just sick." ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ <http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/> http://isatools.org <http://isatools.org/> Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: Steve Moffat [mailto:steve@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 14:41 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Exporting blocked address list http://www.ISAserver.org ROTFLOL.......showin' your age now Harrison :)) ________________________________ From: Jim Harrison [mailto:Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 6:35 PM To: ISA Mailing List Subject: [isalist] RE: Exporting blocked address list http://www.ISAserver.org What's your intern up to these days...? ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ <http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/> http://isatools.org <http://isatools.org/> Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: John Houser [mailto:JohnH@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 08:51 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Exporting blocked address list http://www.ISAserver.org We have an ISA Server 2004 and would like to import the blocked address (domains) from our Proxy Server 2.0.
