It's because ad needs 2 dns servers, and my clients only have 2 w2k
servers on each site. Cant afford anymore hardware/os's.

Someday I'll have a chance to work up the scenario. But then, putting
ISA Server on a DC isn't best practice -- but then again, best practice
should comes second to how often this done. How many of you out there
would want to create a gateway to gateway VPN between domain
controllers?

resolution works across the domains, either way.

Hi Steve,
Each DC needs to be able to find the other. That's why I recommended
using delegation records. The glue record is the Host (A) record that
resolves the entry in the SOA record.
