You haven't specified, so we must ask-- is your ISA server the DC? If so, move it to a different box...

Subject: [isalist] Domain controller CPU usage 100% b/c of System Process

http://www.ISAserver.org

Hi,
i have a problem with my domain controller (window 2000 authentication server). it is working properly but after some days, may be 3 or 4 days, its cpu usage goes on 100% because of System process takes cpu 99% with PID 8 in the task manager view. i have also configured DNS on the same server. After cpu usage goes 100% it does not authenticate any client. this is a licenced copy and updated every day online through internet. The event viewer of this server has the following errors.

Application Log:
Source: Userenv
Category: None
Type: Error
Event ID: 1000
User: NT Authority\System
Description: Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network. Return value (59).

System Log:
Source: Srv
Category: None
Type: Error
Event ID: 2019
User: N/A
Description: The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.

 Directory Service:
Source: NTDS Inter-site
Category: 19
Type: Warring
Event ID: 1369
User: N/A
Description: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.

If you have its solution. plz help me.
