I am not really sure of your question, but I can say that NetBIOS
historically has been misunderstood over the years since it's conception.
NetBIOS
Really defines an API (Application Programming Interface) and is not a
transport like many people seem to think it is, By disabling NetBIOS support
On your ISA server, if that is what you did, simply removes the support
offered by your server for legacy applications that use NetBIOS, if you
Wrote filter rules then you are blocking or allowing SMB traffic depending
on the type of rule you defined. Hope that helps.

We have disabled NETBIOS on the ISA Server to make it harder for users to
illegally enter the network internally.
Will this have an affect on the internet bandwidth?
