RE: Constant Service Log failure.

Jim,
I get the same problem in my ISA servers. Usually it happens when the server
is restarted, or when I do changes to the ISA server alert configuration.
The problem goes away after a while. However, the log files still continue
to log all information. May be a bug in ISA server....

However, the dailysum.exe hanging is not related to the above error. I had
this problem too. You should look at your summaries files that are
successfully created. Check up to which date the summaries are created. This
way you will know which log file is causing the dailysum to hang. Open the
log file that is causing problem, search for 'blank lines' and delete them.
Usually this fixes the problem of dailysum hanging.

I'm looking for some insight on a recurring problem with my ISA server.  The
log files for the web proxy are constantly sending off failure messages but
keep on logging data.  This has the result of causing the Dailysum.exe to
hang when it tries to run since the files are corrupt.  The event log just
has this cryptic little message.

Any ideas what might be causing this.


I did find a reference on the ISAserver.org website but it only partially
related to this problem. (I tried it anyway and still have the problem)


Any insight you folks might have would be helpful.
