Edward,
Did check the static route as suggested and they are fine. The database
server is behind the ISA server itself (on the same machine) so I am
noticing a slow down when an aspx file is launched so I need to just
allow a bypass for the local intranet.
I do have bypass for local address in IE as Spence suggested.
Not sure what else to try!
