RE: Bypass ISA with Intranet

Launch Internet Explorer, and select Tools, Connections, and click on Lan
Settings. Under Proxy Server check "Use a Proxy..." and "Bypass proxy..." Make
sure your server name or IP are in the Address field, and 8080 is in the Port
field.

Click on the Advanced Button, and make sure your Exceptions read similiar to
this (substitute your network and or domain):

10.100.1.*;10.100.3.*;*.kma.com;*.kmac.net

The asterisk is the wildcard, and each exception must end with a semi-colon (;)
except for the last one.

I am not sure how ISA will see this since the SQL requests are coming to the
same server that ISA resides on. Tom can probably tell you in more detail how
to make ISA ignore the SQL requests altogether if it is possible to do in your
config.

Let me know if this helps, and good luck!

Edward,

You are correct now that I am thinking about it....Any requests made will
definitely be dealt with by ISA since they reside on the same machine....I am
using SQL 2000 w/sp 3.
Unfortunately it isn't possible to host it as yet on another server, I am
looking to do this as soon as possible.
Thanks for your advice!
But I know there was a way to by pass ISA with the Intranet, I can't remember
how...

With Kind Regards,
Khan
