RE: Browser Fix

Hi Jeff,

This is interesting because it seems like a browser issue, not an ISA
Server issue. Did you get any explanation why a browser fix would fix a
firewall issue?

Thanks!
Tom

My problems were with Bank One and StuckyNet.
Both had made some changes, and we were finally able to get them to
admit that other customers were having problems as well, all ISA users.
They worked with MS and after a couple of weeks, the bank sent me the
hotfix.

As for the problem with not reaching the Internal Antivirus management
site, Trend suggested I load another hotfix, which was also the
wininet.dll, but it was an older version than the banks version, which I
had only installed on one machine, so I tried that machine, and it could
get there, so I rolled it out to the rest of my users and let Trend
know.

We do use FedEx, but I never heard of us having any problems. Didn't use
any other banks that I know of.

Very interesting.

Though I can not see how changing the packet size fixed this before and
now the fix is replacing the wininet.dll file changes this. Of course,
it would be interesting to know exactly what the dll is responsible for.

This after twice spending hours on the phone with MS and BofA
troubleshooting the problems earlier this year.

Unless of course, there are 2 problems.

BTW, were you accessing BofA or Wells Fargo on-line banking or Fedex.com
shipping? (BTW, Fedex did admit to me they changed some of there
security the week before my client started having a problem with
accessing.)
