SMS. We would have to have a CAL for each user. This is not really what we
want. We only need to push out the firewall client now and again that's all.

SMS works very well for this too, and the clients don't need to be
members of an Active Directory domain.

You're right, Group Policy would not support non-domain clients, but
then again the idea is to be able to secure and manage your resources
centrally by taking advantage of Active Directory Group Policies.
Wininstaller, I believe, has its own stand-alone software deployment
tool that will allow your to push your .msi packages with a super simple
gui, but I I'm not sure if you have the control to install per ip
address, I'm pretty sure that's its per computer name.

Even if the clients are not in a domain? So the firewall client can be
automatically pushed out and installed to an internal ip address?

We have ISA on a Windows 2000 Server. No clients are in a domain. But we
are trying to find a way to push the firewall client to the users based
on their ip address. Is there a way of doing this in windows, or maybe a
way through a 3rd party software?
