The firewall client depends on ISA to perform name resolution.
Until you can access your ISA server, we can't determine the root cause of your
problem.

When you do get gain access to it, you'll want to follow this article so you're
not blocked by distance again:

Hello Tom
So it could be a DNS issue then? I should say it is not just one PC affected
but over 20 that have this same application.
On another matter, I am concerned that people are accessing the internet when
teh firewall is disabled and I would like to stop this from happening.

Any ideas?

Hi Simon,

If it works without the firewall client enabled, but it doesn't work when it is
enabled, then I'd bet a dollar that it's a name resolution issue.

Hi everyone
I think I am going completely mad!!
I have a 3rd party application that communicates on Port 319 - If the users
Win2k Workstations Firewall Client are enabled, the application does not
respond. If they disable the firewall client, the program works fine.
Can someone tell me where I need to enable port 319 through the firewall please?
Thank you so much..... I think I am losing it :-(
