The follow command! I teach it by having some go with me where ever you wish
to work and have them walk a head of me. I then tell the dog to follow and
motion with my right hand to the person in front of us. Keep telling your dog
to follow around ten or twelve times while walking a block. Do it the same way
while walking back the same route. While walking back however, drop down to
four or six times telling the dog to follow. Practice, practice, practice and
in a day or two the dog should be able to follow with just the follow command
and a motion of the hand toward the person they should follow. Good luck. I
have had a dog that was very green in the follow command and it didn’t take
more than a week to firm the command up in her lessons, smile!

Subject: [IOTAList] Follow Command
Hi all
I have been quiet for a long time but now that my College exams are slowly
drawing to a close I have been spending more time on training. I was wondering
if anyone could help me with how to teach the Follow command to your guide.
Thank you in advance
