Naw, I've been spending the last three days digging out of the pile of
mail that accumulated while I was away. =P Finally managed to read it
all.
I'd like to see what you and Yuri have come up with; the more detailed
the better, but something short and to the point would be fine. As far
as the AtheOS headers go, I'd just as soon extract the concepts and not
the code. Given our license, we do have to be careful about that GPL
thing. Also, I don't want to put us in a position where we're adapting
our design to fit the design inherent in that code, if that makes any
sense. I'd much rather get our design squared away and then adapt
existing code to fit that framework.
BTW, you can find some good information relevant to talking to the
graphics drivers in the BWindowScreen docs. It's not as complete as the
Advanced Topics docs, but it looks like a good place to start while I
work on making that stuff available.
