Ok that's good, though gcc thought it wasn't initialized in some conditions,
IIRC.
Anyway, you certainly know a whole lot of stuff about our BMessage
implementation more than me, so if you're ok with this, I am too :)

Actually, the latter :), though I'm also interested to know if the old bug which
affected it is still around.
