Ah - don't be; What's not shown by the above screen grab
is the extreme trend this hack has to crash under load.
And this means, crashing as soon as you move a window a
bit too fast. More apparent is the fact that also, not much is
actually implemented (if not so much was stubbed out,
the deskbar would have a less lame look!). And a crapload
of other reasons for taking pity on this hack. (the title
of this thread is ironic).

All in all this is an add-ons/graphics/Accelerant.h - based
appsrv+libbe.so combo that totally
lacks binary compatibility with anything; there's a bit
of "window management" code implemented but not much.
The Pulse that you see in the lower right corner compiles
"out of the box", contrarily to the deskbar for which I
had to move out of the makefile the BeMenu class since it
has strong dependancies on the Tracker. (another can of
worms, this Tracker thing).

PS - my advice would be to use the Pulse source in
/boot/optional:samplecode/appkit/Pulse as soon as
"helloworld" type of apps compile and run for your
prototype, because at least for me, it helped me so much.
The bitmap is hardcoded in the source and thus does not need
to have the BResourceSomething class implemented,
so you can have it run 90% fully with not too much
sweating, when compared to the much bigger Deskbar juggernaut,
and this is a very rewarding thing.
