Hi,
since until now the flood of mails criticizing my general plan or the
layout of phase 1 has not happened to roll in, I assume they can't be too
bad. Anyway, my weekend starts tomorrow and that means, unless until then
the new source tree structure appears in the CVS repository (which
certainly will require me to do some build team work), I will have time to
get some actual work done and will start coding.
That leads to the question, who will do what task. As I consider the
packages (at least the first two) one-person-jobs to be processed
basically in order, I would simply make them available in a queue-like
manner. That is, who is going to have time (from that very moment on),
simply announces (on this list) that he grabs the next package and starts
working on it. As soon as the first implementation is done (maybe at
least roughly tested), check it in -- so that the work on the next package
can be started -- and go on working on the tests for the package. For the
same reason bug fixes should be committed as soon as possible.
The IK team assignments page tells me, that BMessenger is not assigned yet
and BApplication is owned by Erik. BRoster is assigned to Joe Banafato! I
presume he hasn't come that far as nothing else than Be's header file is
in the repository right now. So I guess, in principle there won't be any
interference.
CU, Ingo
