It isn't that hard to write graphics drivers, once you got sample code (Be's ftp site contained a file called graphics.zip, with lots of info) and or specs (like datasheets, or documented XFree drivers). I'm planning to create a few simple drivers for NewOS, as I've got a use for NewOS other then OpenBeOS in mind also :) Again, specs in the main issue here...
