I wouldn't say it is ugly, in fact it's probably the tidiest code I've
ever seen.  It's just to complicated for a simple hacker like me. ;-)

I think our best bet is to work with the sources that are on bebits, and

update when/if we hear back from Thomas (I sent him an email a few weeks

ago).  Even if it is ugly, I think I still take a crack at looking at it
so I 
can get a bit more variety than just app_server graphics routines.
