I'd be happy to compile all of this stuff together into something reasonably 
coherent. I ought to have some time tomorrow to gather up everything we have to 
far.

This is the only part I'm currently fuzzy on. What do you mean by timers? I 
haven't been able to come up with anything.

The BMessageRunner bit in the Be Book mentions that BMessageRunner is just an 
interface to the roster, which actually handles the dispatching. Is this 
perhaps what you mean by timers?
