[interfacekit] FreeType and simple question

    This is probably more my area than anyone else's, but I was wondering if 
anyone on the team has a) worked with FreeType and/or b) an idea on how we'll 
be using it in our efforts? It just dawned on me that I know nothing about 
FreeType and I kinda need to know. The only problem is that I can't research 
it without "putting off" other important stuff.
    Second, is there a way to create a global preprocessor definition which 
does not require a header file? For example, do something to #define DEBUG in 
a way that it is defined for all the source files? TIA
