Lazaro Cubas pointed out to me the BeLite project on Sourceforge. It has some 
classes implemented and has apparently made some progress. Licensing is LGPL. 
Worst case, we can use it for inspiration and best case, we can make use of 
the code itself. Can anyone give me the short version of what the LGPL 
license entails?
