Autism, girls with autism and training about puberty :

I have been part of a very healthy debate about training girls with autism
about periods,hygiene and what mothers need to understand about this
crucial and very wonderful part of a girl's life.

If you are a mom of a 9 or 10 yo girl with autism, I would be looking at
what's next for her?

Although she may be only 9/10 years old we need to start planning ahead for
the changes that her body will be going through.

The difficulty with puberty is the 'not knowing' when it would "arrive" it
is prudent to begin programs to start preparing her for the changes she
would inevitably encounter.
