[Ilugc] wvdial problem

Ya ..I found useful from the link which suresh ramasubaramaniam had posted on 
but still i have some more problem in connecting the wvdial


i am using linux kernel 2.2. with Red hat so Rppp to connect  i have cofigured 
the modem tthru the Rppp configure tool


but when i use Rppp dialer it displays the choose window with the 2 r 3 
interface's which we have configured , but when i choose any of the interface 
and click start interface it displays a warnig window saying that"failed to 
activate intrface "


and some times  Application 'usernet' (process 749) has crashed due to fatal 
error'


and while the system is booting up the series of services i could see some the 
services has [FAILED]  in which the PPP0 interface is also one of them 


what is see is setting network parameter         OK


                    Bringing up interface lo              OK


                   Bringing up interface ppp0 Failed to activate ppp0 with 
error 2


 and shutting down i can see that the 


                    Shutting sown interface 


                                       PPP0     OK


                                       PPP1   OK


                                       PPP2   OK


please let me why does these errors occur..?Indiatimes Email now powered by
