'rx' permission is not necessary if you have compiled php as a module
for your webserver. But when it runs as a CGI app (using a php
interpreter) the execute permission is necessary and also the ExecCGI
option should be given for the directory in question.

Subject: [ilugc] courier imap configuration with LDAP
Message-ID: <20021016122232.13332.qmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi,
I am trying to use ldap authentication module for courier imap.
Every time I try to connect (thru authtest ) i get the error
"chdir: No such file or directory" though the authentication
succeeds.
I have included authldap schema and used the same to set up the
user details in the openldap server.
The default mail directory ie Maildir does exist and i am able to
set up the authentication using PAM.
It's just the ldap authentication that's giving me the
creeps.........
