Hi,
I have two questions,
1. How to uninstall GNU/linux?
There is no such option for GNU/Linux. You just upgrade or delete that
partition and use it for something else.
2.once u remove GNU/linux, without removing the boot loader (if u format
the partition) , then the boot loader stops with an error while booting,
after which we need to use boot loader commands to boot the system. Now
is it possible to remove the boot loader alone, without reinstalling
windows.
Prepare a Windows 98 startup disk. Boot with help of that disk and say
'fdisk /mbr'. This will erase your boot loader from MBR and you will be
able to boot into your Windows directly (Don't forget to make the
Windows partition active)
Alternatively, if you are running Windows 2000, use the Windows 2000
CD-ROM (bootable) and go for Repair option and ask it you rewrite your MBR.
HTH.

Praveen.
