Hi,
My thoughts below:
You also want school/college students to attend
workshops/lectures. Schedule your events in such a way
that you can avoid timing conflicts.
I will be happy to render lectures, attend to
question-answer sessions (Feb 19, 20 - weekends).
 Public
o Demo
I would encourage MIT students to take this as an
opportunity to learn something _new_ and demo the
same.

o Application Project Demonstration
Conduct a three-four member programming contest. Can
be multiple problems to be solved in a stipulated time
or give it as a single project.
o Web page Design using Free Software Technology
Should be interesting. Some useful tools here for web
designers:

o Paper Presentation /* Please suggest topics */
o Quiz
o Ad. Design Contest
o Hacking /* Please Suggest */
You can setup servers and invite students to _hack_
into the system. No script kiddies!
But, participants will have to be strong in
assembly/perl/C.
o Game Zone
UT!
Workshops & Lecture Topics
 Kernel Programming
You are targeting a larger audience. Not sure how many
will be interested in it. Requires strong
fundamentals.
 GNU Programming tools
Should be useful.
 Advanced Linux Programming
Same as kernel programming.
 Networking in Linux
Show as many demos as possible.
Your strength is the number of students and computers.
I suggest you keep as many displays/demos/stalls as
possible, apart from the events. WYSIWYG - you can
convey a lot of info with eye-catching displays.
Regards,
K Shakthi
