Almost the enitre user interface has been localised to tamil. So next
time you install Mandrake9.0, we'll see tamil in it's full glory. OK.
there may be some spelling mistakes and pls. help solve this by
following this instructions...

Thanks to Srivas, We'll also get a tamil font which provides out of
the box support. But i sincerely request more font authors to send an
e-mail auhtorising for using their fonts. I fully understand the
amount of efforts put in by the font authors in developing their
tools. I take this opportunity to thank everyone of you
individually, and you've made our language "Tamil" richer by
uncomprabale ways.
I would like to assure you again that Mandrake is not a company
that takes away your hardwark.100% of their work is licensed in GPL
and is given back to the public domain. They're only one of the few
companies with translations over 40 languages and they're actively
supported by their users. I can assurre you that at a later stage
you'll definitely feel proud for getting your fonts being officially
included in the Mandrake distribution.
Thanks for reading this, and we have got until agust 31st to include
the fonts in Mandrake9.0.
I sincerely request font authors to give permission to atleasst one
font from their fontpacks.
I take this opportunity to thank Dr.srivas again for his magnanimous
gesture of support to tamil.
Regards.,
Prabu
