connection(ADSL) ,how to configure it,i googled it still not getting
exact source.
Does the MODEM have an Ethernet or a USB interface?
You can also ask the Airtel support for help. They may be able to help.
I have spoken to them once and they do support Ethernet modems.
If your MODEM has an Ethernet interface all you have to do is just run a
DHCP client like dhclient or dhcpcd and you are done.
I guess the command would be
# dhclient eth0
as root.
If OTOH your MODEM does not have an Ethernet interface then you need
"advanced" skills.
I also know that Airtel solves the "linux problem" by replacing your USB
MODEM for an ethernet MODEM free of cost.
Best,
Girish
