If you see linux loading ..... then your MBR is ok.
The problem is with the kernel image, either its a wrong build
for your system, (for p3 you must use the package that is something
like kernel-image-2.4.18-686, the version can be anything, but the
build needs to be 686, its suff. if its x86).
Its also possible that the kernel image in your hard disk is corrupt.
Boot your system with the rescue disk, and try reinstalling the kernel
image. (No, you don't have to reinstall the whole system. Only the kernel!)
and after some dots it was saying 0x01 error.
what is the problem.
i had a p3 machine with 128 mb ram.
