hi all,
i have recently configured exim as MTA. i have removed sendmail as it was
conflicting with exim ( 3.36 version ) installation.the install was
succesfull and exim runs with smtp port 25.
i am able to recieve messages only from my localdomain
and am not able to recieve any from the outside world .
Also the messages sent from say suppose 'rediffmail'
doesnt get bounce back to rediff account .
what could be the problem?

Hi,
there should be stuff in /var/log/exim/ that should make sense. read the
logs and if you still don't understand or figure out whats going on (exim
documents all the error msgs it spews out very nicely -- see the FAQ or the
man page or whatever) post an URL to the log files themselves, and someone
can help you out.
there could be a gazillion problems that can be diagnosed at this stage.
post more descriptive error msgs, for better help.
