Hi,
both are linux frienldly if ethernet adsl modem/routers are used. But
supportwise
airtel is verygood, bsnl is pitiable. Problems come rarerly in
Airtel/BSNL. Once it comes airtel will attend immediately, in BSNL you
will have to run pillar to post.
I will disagree with this. Day before yesterday, my DataOne was
disconnected due to an outstanding bill (The phone was disconnected
about a week before that). On payment, within one hour the telephone
was rectified but not the broadband, and so I thought that it was a
technical issue and I called Customer Care(1500). Firstly, I was
surprised to get a young female voice at the other end:) who said it
will be fixed in 24 hrs. I said I wanted the net urgently, and I was
called by a Service Engineer within 20 minutes, who did not even
assume I used Windows and asked me which operating system I used, and
when I said Linux, gave me instructions for Linux. I was eventually
told this was due to the non payment of the bill, and will be
corrected as soon as their database is updated.
Within an hour even they called me again, and told me that it was restored.
Also no other service gives wireless routers for such a cheap rent.
