Hi Kannan,
When i ran 'yum install expect' it starting installing some dependencies and
in the end i got the below error :
First a few pointers:
a. You need not create a new thread with a new subject line for every step of
fixing the same problem. Just reply to the most relevant reply in the original
thread. This is important because people who have seen just the latest mail do
not have any background about where you started from.
b. Please send all your replies to the mailing list rather than the id of the
person who replied to your post.
c. If you are using RHEL for testing and do not intend to subscribe to a
license
or register the system with RHN, you might want to consider using CentOS
instead:
http://centos.org/
It is a drop-in replacement for RHEL which is recompiled and repackaged in a
manner that does not conflict with Red Hat's legal requirements.
That said, here is how you can fix your problem:
# install the CentOS yum repo configuration:
$ rpm -ivh
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/centos-release-4-8.i386.rpm
# clean the yum caches
$ yum clean all
# install e?pect
$ yum install expect
