When starting a new topic please do not use the reply button on an
unrelated post on the list.
If you do that (as you have indeed done) your message will become part
of a totally unrelated "thread". This can work to your disadvantage
because many people just skip entire threads they are not interested
in. So it is only you who stand to lose if that happens.
In future start a new message with a relevant subject line that
describes your problem in brief so that people looking at it can
decide if they want to spend more time reading your entire mail. All
this is part of what is generally regarded as basic net etiquette.
