I would suggest you use LILO for dual booting. Win2k
boot loader is also
fine, but you will have to copy the MBR image
created by lilo every time
you change something. If you have Win2k already
installed, the easiest
thing to do is:
1. Make a copy of your win2k MBR on a floppy or
elsewhere. (Just in case).
To do this, go into "rescue mode" using the RH
installation cd. This
will drop you into a shell. Execute the following
dd if=/dev/hda of=/mnt/floppy bs=512 count=1
This will copy the first sector of the hard disk
onto a floppy. Make
more than one copy for redundancy sake.
2. Pop in RH 7.3 cd and start installation
procedure. When you get to the
LILO loader part, it should automatically detect the
presence of win2k,
and will ask you if LILO should be installed in the
MBR or the first
sector of the boot partition.
3. Select MBR, and go ahead with the installation.
4. Things should work fine when you reboot after
installation, you should
be able to see both win2k and linux on the boot
5. If (4.) does not succeed, you always have the
floppy to boot from.

HiI decided to play it
After looking at the problem faced by people here,
safe and ask this. I am about to install RHL 7.3on my win2k based
system (to be dual boot). The docs I found on thenet ask me not to
install LILO on my MBR and put in on thesuperblock, boot with a linux
floppy and use nt loader to choose btw win2k andlinux.
