Are you starting sendmail twice? Sendmail should ideally have one
master pid and that'll fork sendmail processes as needed to handle email
If theres something wrong with your initscripts, then it might lead to
sendmail getting improperly shutdown and then started again
Do a tail -f on your maillog on another console to see what the error
is, when you restart sendmail

Hello
Whenever I issue the command "services sendmail status" it lists out more
than one pid. Is this normal or is there something wrong. The reason why i
am asking this is that my sendmail stops accepting outgoing mail and I have
to physically restart the email service two or three times before sendmail
starts accepting outgoing mail.
Any Help will be appreciated
Thanks and Regards
