CHENNAI: Red Hat India, Linux and open source solutions provider, is
to set up a sales and support office in Chennai in the next four
months.
Sachin Dabir, head-enterprise sales, Red Hat India said, it was a
part of the company's plans to expand the southern market. He said
government, banking, telecom and public sector units would drive the
demand for Linux and open source software applications.
Dabir said, while the government and public sector units provided the
initial thrust, increasingly private sector companies have started
looking at Linux-based applications.
